There is something special about senior portraits that include a horse. They celebrate more than a milestone in life; they capture the dedication, passion, and bond that have been part of a senior’s journey. For this Frisco, Texas, high school senior, her horse was an essential part of telling her story.
As a North Texas senior photographer specializing in equestrian senior portraits, I love creating sessions that combine a senior’s personality, personal style, and love for horses. This session was the perfect opportunity to create a beautiful variety of images while celebrating her life as an equestrian.
Three Dresses, Three Different Looks
One of my favorite parts of planning a senior portrait session is helping each senior choose outfits that reflect her personality while creating a variety of looks in her final gallery. For this session, she incorporated three gorgeous dresses, each bringing something different to the portraits.
The first look featured a classic velvet dress with a timeless, elegant feel. Velvet photographs beautifully and adds rich texture to portraits, creating an elevated look that will never go out of style.
For her other two looks, she chose long, flowy dresses with a Western flare. The movement of the dresses added a romantic, effortless quality to the images, while the Western-inspired details brought a little extra personality to the session. These dresses were perfect for creating portraits that felt both elegant and true to her equestrian lifestyle.
Changing outfits allowed us to create a gallery with a wonderful range of styles, from classic and sophisticated to soft, flowing, and distinctly Western.
