Both have beautifil grey horses that they used in their photos. Madeleine with Genoa and Rachael with Smarty.

Erin | Equestrian Portraits | Horse & Rider | Rockwall Texas
I think photos are some of the best presents and that is what Erin planned to do with the images from her session. The photo session was intended to be a present for her boyfriend, but I am sure she used this for much more. I loved how they turned out. It was rather windy so we started out doing black background photos 1st. Them did some outside with her two horses and three dogs. Did some horse and rider portraits where she wanted to show her bond with her horse Can Do. Check out her fabulous belt in those photos! Being a Christmas present of course we did some Christmas Wreath photos!
Volmer Cutting Horses | Weatherford Texas | Equine Photographer
Carrie & Clay won part of their session an auction where I donated a couple Gift Certificates to the Southwest Reined Cow Horse Association Futurity. They needed some photos to update their website for their horse training business. Had fun doing a wide variety of Stallion photos, horse & rider photos of both Carrie and Clay with horses. AS I left for the day I grabbed a few Ranch images. High quality images is the best way to stand out and look professional. Visit the Volmer's website to learn more.
Bailey & Pepper | Byron Nelson High School | Senior Photographer
Despite the wind and the 1st cold snap of the season, Bailey had a great session. So much personality and energy! We did her most of her session in Argyle at her trainers where her horse, Pepper is kept before moving to Lantana for some photos without her horse.
Olivia & Alphie | Equestrian | Aubrey Equine Photographer
Olivia's mom contacted me to photograph her daughter, Olivia and Olivia's horse, Alphie. She also wanted some images of Alphie to use as wall art in her home. She has seen some art pieces that she loved, but wanted their horse rather than someone else's horse hanging in their house. I thought that was a wonderful idea. Olivia competes regularly in North Texas Hunter Jumper shows with Alphie. We did her equestrian portraits as well as Alphie's equine photos where he is boarded at KB Ranch in Aubrey Texas.
2017 North Texas Equine Photography Workshop
The 2017 North Texas Equine Photography was held last May. Had some great photographers attending and I love the photos they took. The 3 day workshop was full of some great locations, beautiful models, both horse and human. We all met Thursday evening for a meet & greet at Barley & Board located on the Denton Square. We meet at one of my favorite Ranches, XO Ranch, early Friday morning and photographed a young lady and her horse. After lunch Friday we returned to my studio for some Lightroom and Photoshop tutorials. Friday evening's shoot was just up the road and we had the opportunity to photograph a beautiful quarter horse stallion, mare and foals. Along with a newly married bride in her wedding dress. One of my equestrian models volunteered her time giving us one more subjects to photograph. Saturday morning we headed north to Sebastian Petrols Reining Horses and shot some reining horses in action as well as some casual shots. After lunch we did more classroom work at the studio. Saturday evening we visited Sergeant Ranch in Pilot Point. We photographed and Danish Warmblood and did black background photos and some Dressage photos. The big treat was a half Friesian that was converted into a unicorn! Sunday morning we had some rain (with lots of lightning) delays so we decided to grab breakfast first. When the rain passed we went to Cardinal Ranch in Aubrey and photographed some mares and foals. They put on a great show. Our last stop was Dryden Ranch and we did some conformation and liberty photos. I think all the attendees were tired when we were done, but come back with some great images and everyone learn a lot. Not only from me, but from each other. I started a Facebook group for them and everyone still keeps in contact giving tips, advice and words of encouragement.
Upcoming workshops are coming up this fall and spring 2018. Visit the Workshop page for more info.

Justine & Alexa | Sisters & Equestrians | Senior Portraits | Aubrey Texas
This session was a mixture of several different sessions. We did Alexa's senior portraits, since her sister; Justine did not have senior portraits done, so we also did some of her. We also combined a family session in as well. The location of the shoot was at one of my favorite North Texas Ranches, XO Ranch in Aubrey Texas. Both girls are accomplished equestrians, one with a little more western style and the other competes in eventing. Alexa had a beautifully marked APHA named Razzle and Justine had a sorrel AQHA named Tyler.

Kristen, Reggie & Katniss | Equine Photographer | Cave Creek Arizona
I photographed Kristen and her horses. Real Good Reason "Reggie" and Fancy N My Stilettos "Katniss." We used her ranch for the photoshoot. Due to more than normal rain this year the landscape was very colorful and made a wonderful backdrop. She showed me here arena and some of the best Saguaro Cactus surrounded the edge. Kristen was preparing for AQHA shows and shows under the guidance of Reid Thomas Performance Horses.
Hannah | Senior 2017 | Weatherford Texas | Equine Photographer
I photographed Hannah and her horse Inviting Rumors "Shea" at Dry River Ranch in Weatherford Texas and rides under the guidance of Stephen Stevens and Terry Cross . Like many spring days in Texas, it was windy and humid. Hannah & Shea where great and handled it will. Hannah will be attending University of Georgia in the fall where she will be part of their Equestrian Team. Hannah asked the photos to show how much she loves Shea. She made it easy, as they obviously have a great horse-human bond with each other.
Addy & Jewel | Equestrian Model | Aubrey Texas
Addy is one talented little girl. Along with her parents, they find ponies at horse sales in the area. Many they are saving from kill buyers and an uncertain fate. Addy goes on to train these ponies to be safe ridable ponies for smaller children. She is well known in the area for her skills and is the go-to person for well-trained ponies.
Claire | Allen Senior Photographer | Class of 2017
Claire is the 3rd Senior from Treeline Stables that I had the opportunity to photograph. Once again we used the same locations as her 2 friends. Claire's session started with a overcast sky, which I love to shoot in. As well as being an avid equestrian, Claire also has a huge interest in photography and plans to study it in college. I loved that she understood a lot of what I was doing.
Taylor | Class of 2017 | Equestrian Portraits
Taylor was one of the 3 girls from Treeline Stables that I did their senior session for. We started her session off at McKinney's Adriatica. Really like that location, so many places to shoot, I think I could do dozens of sessions there and none be alike. We followed up by heading to Treeline to photograph Taylor with her two horses, Zena and Blue. Taylor obviously loves her horses and got some great shots of her with her horses.
Sam | Allen Senior 2017 | Equestrian Portraits
At her mother's suggestion we started Sam's session at The Adriatica Village in McKinney. Sam included a couple of long time friends in her session and it made for a fun session. Adriatica was the perfect location and even as we were leaving I was spotting areas I wish we had time to use. Next stop was Sam's barn where she boards her horse, Fashionista "Surprize." I could ask for 2 more beautiful subjects as well as the gorgeous sky we had that evening.
Sam is not only a talented in Hunter-Jumper competitions and school activities, but she is also a published writer. He book Under the Full Moon can be found on Amazon and at Barnes & Noble.
Katie | Senior 2017 | Senior Portraits | North Texas
Katie will be graduating from Aledo High School. She currently competes in the National Reining Horse Association under the guidance of Jared LeClair in Gainesville, Texas. Her and her horse GVG Electric Spark "Pumpkin" have won numerous awards.
Her senior portrait were taken at Hidden Springs Ranch. Hair and make up by Brittini Gillespie of Lucky Locks in Denton, Texas.
Courtney | Senior Portraits | Callisburg | Gainesville | Denton
So much fun with this session! Courtney brought her 2 horses she competes on plus her adorable mini horse. We also did some super cute photos of her and her boyfriend; Kade. We took her photos at Kade's family land. The cattle there were very interested in what we were doing. Kade's car as well as my ear getting up props was fascinating to them.
Courtney will be attending Texas A&M in the fall on a full equestrian scholarship. She was very proud to show her maroon!
